Popular songwriter open-mic contest draws over 200 contestants
NASHVILLE, TN SEPTEMBER 30, 2015–Nashville Rising Star crowned emerging songwriter, Adam Bruno as the grand prize winner of their popular open-mic contest on Wednesday, September 30 at Wild Wing Cafe in Cool Springs, TN.
Adam, along with over 200 Nashville (and beyond) songwriters competed in 7 weekly preliminary competitions where the audience and music industry professionals selected their favorite song. 14 semi-finalists went head to head and were pared down to the final 4 songwriters. They were Cassidy Diana, Dustin Herring, Autumn Copeland and Adam Bruno.
Adam’s song, “Misery” was selected as the most commercial song with the potential to be recorded by a popular artist by the audience and music industry judges, including music producer, Gary Earl, hit songwriter, Bruce Michael Miller, Voice coach, Robin Earl, hit songwriter and Bluebird open-mic host (Barbara Cloyd, Out of the Box Music CEO Charles Alexander, Nashville publicist, Chuck Whiting and Cyndy Reeves, Founder of www.smswf.comThe Smoky Mountains Songwriter Festival.
Adam was awarded over $5000 in cash and prizes provided by event host, Wild Wing Cafe Cool Springs, Global Songwriters, Workshop Music, The Song Tuner, Velvet Cinema Studios and other prize partners of the event.
