NASHVILLE, TN (July 23, 2018) Boston, MA based songwriter, Adam Sickler was crowned the winner of Nashville Rising Song Series 2 – a highly competitive open-mic songwriting competition. After winning the industry judges pick at one of ten preliminary rounds, Adam ultimately won the Series 2 of the competition with his original song, “The Cure.” Adam was one of over 500 songwriters who signed up for the competition, held at Tin Roof on Music Row in Nashville, TN. 10 open mic rounds were held this series, with 21 songwriters selected to perform their original song.
Inspired by the likes of great songwriters such as Paul Simon and James Taylor, to modern-day singer-songwriters like Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, and John Mayer, Adam brings a unique mélange with an occasional reminder from a few legends. Furthermore, his attendance at the Berklee College of Music, while studying under renowned instructors such as Guy Van Duser and Scarlet Keys, provided him with some of the complex inner workings of guitars and the human voice.
