We had another great turnout for Prelim 8! 40 songwriters came out to compete, and 21 performed their song live in front of a packed house at Tin Roof and over 4000 watching our Live Stream! We heard many great songs, and even had an 14 year old compete and they won the Music Judges Winner.

Nancy is a staff writer and Senior Creative Director at Riser Music, a publishing company in Nashville.
She is a member of the Music Row Song pluggers group and represents the music of numerous hit songwriters.
In 2016, Nancy became a member of an elite group of songwriters when her song “We Are The Stars”, won first place for the Pop Category in the prestigious Indie International Songwriters Competition.
Nancy spent 8 years as NSAI Workshop Coordinator, evaluating countless songs and encouraging songwriters on their journey in music.
She has played at Songwriter Festivals including Tin Pan South, Smoky Mountain Songwriter Festival and Frank Brown.
Prior to moving to Nashville, Nancy spent 10 years in bands and has opened for Craig Morgan, Brett Eldridge and George Jones.
Austin is the owner of Nashville’s only 24-hour songwriting space, The Workshop. For two years, The Workshop has taken its place on Music Row and provided songwriters a place to meet and write anytime, day or night.
The Workshop also offers members a chance to participate in weekly Facebook Live showcases, monthly songwriter rounds and networking events, and even provides a television and movie song pitch service called Sync or Swim.
Austin is an accomplished songwriter in his own right, having singles with the band Radio Romance (Won NashNext recently signed with Big Machine) as well as “Headlights” by new artist Filmore which was featured at the Stagecoach music festival and has surpassed 1 million plays on Spotify.
