We had a fantastic prelim round 9 of Nashville Rising Song Series 3. We had 45 songwriters come out, and randomly picked 24 to perform their song. We did an extra round to give more an opportunity to perform their song. We again had a strong group of songwriters at this round!

Lexi and Taylor will come back and join 18 other writers for the semi-final round to be held Monday, November 12, 2018 at Tin Roof Midtown. The finals will be held Monday, November 19, 2018 at Tin Roof Midtown.
Sher Ross is the founder/CEO of “Last Train Home Nashville,” an artist development company. Sher has been an A&R rep and talent scout for over 20 years. She worked for Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots) and his record label in Los Angeles, where she resided before relocating to Music City..
Sher works with clients in the studio helping them from the start to finish in the process. She recently partnered with “The Song Bird Label Group” and is developing new talent. She is also a booking agent, connecting artists with venues nationwide.
As an avid writer she has recently launched a new magazine called The Music City Scene. She also has a radio show in the works and is always on the lookout for amazing talent to work with and promote.
Finally, Sher is also an acting and model scout and casting agent for some of the biggest agencies in New York, Los Angeles and Nashville. She has had talent placed on shows as The Resident and The Walking Dead.

Nancy is President and Chief Creative Officer of Nashville Cool, a publishing company which offers many services to songwriters including music business mentoring, independent song plugging and events.
The company’s flagship event is the Hit Songwriter Invitational songwriting retreat where unsigned songwriters write with hit songwriters. Their next event is in January 2019.
Nancy spent 8 years as NSAI Workshop Coordinator, evaluating countless songs and encouraging songwriters on their journey in music.
Her song “We Are The Stars” won first place for the Pop Category in the Indie International Songwriters Competition.
