We had another excellent round this week! 20 songwriters braved storms and made their way out to Wild Wing Cafe to share their song. We heard lots of good songs this round!

Flyte Three and Mack will come back and join 18 other writers for the semi-final round to be held Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Wild Wing Cafe. The finals will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Wild Wing Cafe.

Judges

JIM FRAZIER is a producer / musician having worked in Nashville since 1989. Jim has produced artists and projects for labels such as Curb, Word Entertainment, and Sony, as well as many of the largest publishing companies, Sony/Tree, BMG, and EMI. Having worked in the studio with artists such as Brad Paisley, SheDaisy, Jim Brickman, Joy Williams (Civil Wars), Phil Keaggy, 4 Him, Jennifer Paige, and many others.

Jim produces music for television, including Undercover Boss, Sons Of Guns, Guys Grocery Games, America’s Top Model and Building Wild, to name a few. He has composed music for films as well.

JAMES LUGO has been singing and playing music since he was 6 years old. His career as a singer /guitarist / songwriter / producer spans decades and coasts.

Cutting his teeth in the late 70’s playing in bands from Fort Lauderdale to headlining LA’s Sunset Strip in the late 80’s, James later played guitar with the band Dokken and singing with Nazareth.

James toured for years, playing and living in Los Angeles, Nashville & Austin and wrote countless songs professionally in all genres with much commercial success and TV and film placement.

James was a vocal analyst and coach with American Idol. He was involved with the show for 10 years and directly worked on show for 3 seasons.

His years on screen and behind the scenes with Idol made him a household name in the Hollywood music and vocal coaching scene and landed him on the rosters of almost every major label as a vocal coach and producer, for many people in the industry he was their go-to guy!

James has lived and operated his recording studio in East Nashville since the fall of 2015.
